We had a "bachelor party" type of thing on Thursday night. I say "type of thing" though because we all just went out to Hooters and snacked on some wings and drank some beer. It was a pretty good time, I always like hanging out with Devin, but he had a friend there that I didn't like at all. He got two nicknames after the next couple of evenings because of the way he looked and acted. First, he became "Stifler" because his personality was exactly like Stifler's from American Pie. Constantly hitting on any female that walked by, cracking stupid 'guy' jokes. He even looked a lot like him. "Abercrombie" became his other nickname, as the waitress pegged him dead on when she said he looked like a manager from Abercrombie. He was for about 4 years. Anyway, other than that, thursday was a good time. I, being the old married guy that I am, headed home around 10:00 or so, but it was pretty tough to get to sleep after that, and I was up until probably a little after 1.
Friday was straight from work to the wedding rehearsal. After the late night the night before and getting up at 7am for work, I wasn't very energetic the rest of the day. The wedding rehearsal started at 6, we were done by around 7, and we all headed out to the Grapevine afterwards for more food and drink. That was a good time, with the friends and family that were involved in the wedding. I brought my wife along to that one as well, and we all had a good time. Finally made it to bed at a 'reasonable' time that night.
Saturday was the wedding itself, I was in a tuxedo from 2:00pm until about 10:00 pm and that was absolutely exhausting. Add to that the conference call that I had to attend at 1:30am on Sunday morning, and I didn't get much rest Saturday night either. I slept for about 2 hours Sunday afternoon, and I also slept pretty good last night. Thankfully, I finally feel like I've caught up.
So, as exhausting as it all was, It was a pretty good time. I'm really happy for Devin and Lauren as well, they're a really good couple. So, now that it's Monday and I'm sitting at work, I think I'll get back to it and get some stuff done.
